Quotes from kids
Update from Dale Russell:
From the very beginning of the trip, the phrase that has kept coming up over and over again has been, "God knew what he was doing." The rental vans arrived two hours late - and we got a discount of several hundred dollars. The Holiday Inn gave away our reserved hotels rooms the first night - and we found a cheaper, nicer hotel, with a pool open as late as we wanted, and free continental breakfast. All of that helped us learn to be flexible, which has come in very handy at the various sites where we've served.
I don't want to steal other people's thunder by giving away all their best stories, but when you see Kent, make sure you ask him to tell about what happened at Loewe's. It's an incredible story, and just one example of God's amazing power.
In the meantime, here are some quotes from various kids, summarizing what God has been teaching them:
"Our group has been working at the Salvation Army. While there we are able to grow closer to the other members of our group. We feel that God has laid it on our heart to grow closer with our fellow teammates."
- Brittany Lewin and Beth Shumway
"It's hard to put the needs of other first when you're tired and out of energy."
- Scott Saflarski
"It's showed us how much we can accomplish when we work together and motivate each other."
- Luke Schuster
"Even the little things can change your life, like buying soap and shampoo for little kids."
- Amanda Oller
"People who have no idea who each other are can work together and get these amazing tasks done."
- Adam Leach
"Love others and they'll love you back."
- Eric Floberg
"Meeting people can make life-long bonds."
- Colin Schroeder
